St. John Lutheran Church of Romeo

SAINTS softball team won another game against First Congregational Church of Almont.  THe game was played at Crystal Diamonds field #2 on Thursday July 23, 2009.  Game time was 7 pm and the sun was shining brightly for the first 3 innings.

St John Lutheran Romeo Saints team score 37 runs to FCC 7 runs.  The game was called over in the 6 inning due to lack of light and the mercy rule.  If a team is ahead by 10 or more runs after 5 innings the game may be called over at any time.

Ed C. and Marie G. are still the batting leaders for the Men and Women respectively.

Even though we played only 6 innings we batted 65 times with 16 players.

The last game of the year for the SAINTS is at Romeo Memorial field on Morton Street.  July 30  7 pm THURSDAY NIGHT.  COme join us any time even if you have not played this year at all.  Drew will not be there.  This is Jason's last game, then he is getting married on August 8, 2009.  He'll be at the game and we can all wish him well.

When I find out the results of the ANGELS game I'll update this report.
