Worship Times
Here at St. John, Worship reflects our long and proud Lutheran heritage, but that does not mean that our worship has not changed in 149 years!
We offer 2 services per week:
WBRW TV is currently broadcasting our services on Saturdays at 5:30pm and Sundays at 9:30am.
Services can currently be watched on St. John's YouTube channel by clicking HERE.
Saturday - 5:00 p.m.
This service is designed to be informal! A typical service includes music (traditional hymns and/or contemporary praise music), prayers, a lesson, and a short sermon, and ending prayers. Holy Communion is celebrated every Saturday. Refreshments are served following the service.
Sundays - 9:30 a.m.
This service is what we call a “Blended Worship Experience,” which means the blending of liturgy with contemporary praise hymns. Lessons from the Bible are read during worship by an Assisting Minister. Prayers by the congregation and special music from our many choirs complete the service. Holy Communion is celebrated on the second and fourth Sundays of each month.
Sunday School classes, Faith, Fun and Family occur following the Children's message. Younger children are dismissed from worship for "story time." For more information, please visit the Sunday School page.
There are no formal Sunday School classes during the summer, however we do offer many opportunities of learning during this season.
